Hardnoise (original 1990 design)

Hardnoise are one of the most recognised and pioneering hardcore Hip Hop groups in the early 1990's UK music scene. Formed in 1988 by a group of art students, Hardnoise was a six-member outfit that made a significant impact despite releasing only a handful of songs commercially. Their tracks, such as "Untitled," "Serve Tea Then Murder," and "Mice in The Presence of the Lion," became underground hits and gained substantial popularity across Europe.

Their innovative and multi-genre music crossed over onto various platforms, resonating in Rave, Jungle, House, Dance and Drum and Bass clubs. The early 90's rave scene saw their music heavily sampled by numerous artists.

Hardnoise played a crucial role in establishing the UK hardcore sound known as Britcore, a term coined by German fans to describe early UK Hardcore Hip Hop. Alongside other prominent groups like Hijack, Blade, Son Of Noise, and Gunshot, Hardnoise's influence was instrumental in shaping this genre.

Tragically, three of the original Hardnoise members have passed away over the years, leaving DJ AJ, DJ Son, and DJ Mada as the remaining members. In tribute to their lost members and in honour of the DJ's and fans who have kept their music alive, Hardnoise merchandise serves as a commemorative celebration of the South London Hardcore Underground scene from that golden era.
